SECTION 7 — THE LOCATION
The Hemingway & Mark Twain Estate sits on Corolla's exclusive 4x4 beach — a stretch of the Outer Banks accessible only by four-wheel-drive vehicle. This is not a figure of speech: the road ends, the pavement disappears, and the only way to reach the estate is across the sand. That barrier is exactly what makes this location extraordinary for private events.
There is no passing traffic. No public beach access at this stretch. No neighboring resort noise. The 4x4 requirement creates natural privacy — vendors must coordinate arrivals through LuxStayUSA, which limits uninvited guests and creates an inherently intimate setting. Your ceremony happens with the Atlantic Ocean as your backdrop and the sound of waves as your soundtrack. Golden hour photographs on six private acres of coastline cannot be replicated in any event hall or hotel ballroom.

SECTION 8 — EVENT LOGISTICS AND BOOKING

Event Setup and Breakdown: Vendors may arrive on the day of the event during standard access hours. Early access for setup and late departure for breakdown can be arranged through your event coordinator. For multi-day events, vendor staging areas are available on the ground floor and pool deck.
Noise Policy: No immediate neighbors and no quiet-hour restrictions. Your event runs on your schedule.
Maximum Capacity: 72 guests overnight. Up to 85+ guests for daytime events with an event package [VERIFY]. All overnight and daytime headcounts must be confirmed during booking.
Check-In: 4:00 PM — lockbox code and arrival guide sent 48 hours prior.
Check-Out: 10:00 AM. Early check-in available (subject to availability). Late check-out available.
Minimum Stay: 2-night minimum. Event bookings of 3 to 5 nights are standard.
Security Deposit: $1,500 refundable security deposit required for all event bookings.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund if cancelled 365+ days before arrival. No refunds within 365 days of arrival. Event and travel insurance are strongly recommended for all event bookings.
